LARC’s Community Supports and Services oversees three programs aimed at allowing the individuals we serve to remain in their community living on the terms they and their family choose.
These programs work with each person’s natural supports like family and friends.
Center-based Respite is offered on LARC’s grounds. Personal Care Attendant services are offered in the family home. Supported Independent Living services are in the individual’s own home.
Center-Based Respite provides short-term stays with support and supervision in the absence of an individual’s usual caregiver. This home-away-from-home is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Personal Care Attendant or PCA services provide support to individuals and family in their home environment. The services we provide assist in promoting self reliance, social interaction, enhanced family functioning, and community interaction.
Supervised Independent Living or SIL assists individuals living in their own home. We work with each person in further developing and maintaining social, community, and adaptive skills necessary for the individual to reside on their own and be a part of the community of their choice.
To receive these services, the individual must be certified through the Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities (OCDD). They can be contacted at 1-800-648-1484.
