LARC’S Vocational Services is committed to enhancing the lives of the adults we serve by assisting them in becoming productive citizens as they pursue job opportunities.

Whether working on our campus, on a community crew or as independent employees of area businesses, LARC introduces the world of work to the individuals we serve.

For non-wage earners, day-habilitation offers activities to enhance choice, independence and social opportunities.

We offer transportation to those who live at home or in their own apartment so working and earning a wage is possible for all.

Workers on our campus fill contracts for local businesses like packaging bulk mail and shredding or work in our cafeteria.

Mobile community crews fulfill a variety of contracts on the worksite under the direction of a crew supervisor. Their work includes janitorial, housekeeping, lawn and grounds maintenance, and packaging.

Our retail stores provide additional community-based job opportunities. Workers package recycled Mardi Gras beads and create gift baskets through partnerships with other organizations.

Supported Work places individuals with area employers where they receive the same salary and benefits as other employees. Our on-going support ensures their success in the workforce.

To receive these services, the individual must be certified through the Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities (OCDD). They can be contacted at 1-800-648-1484.
